Heavy Duty Cutting Block

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Boos Blocks Hard Rock Maple Cutting Board is built for heavy duty use. It's a large size at 18" x 24" and approximately 1.5" thick.
I was pleasantly surprised to learn recently that wood blocks are better long term for being more sanitary and more resistant to bacteria than the plastic boards I have previously been using.
It's quite heavy, so really best suited for larger kitchens with a place to leave it on your counter top. It does have indents on both of the shorter sides for easy carrying, but someone who can't lift a lot might have trouble moving it around.
It was easy to wipe down after use, and showed very few marks after using multiple times. I also had no problem with it staining from the different colored vegetables I cut.
One of the things I liked most was that it didn't move at all during use. The large surface also meant I could move items off to the side and keep cutting more rather than having to stop to make space. It's a really nice looking board and a great addition to my kitchen.

Superior craftsmanship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an absolutely beautiful cutting board! This is a very large and weighty piece with a satiny smooth finish. It is of high quality and a very solid piece. It is large enough to prepare multiple food items on it at once. Clean up is easy and the side area handles provide ease of moving the board to different areas. The care and maintenance kit is a wonderful addition to help maintain the beauty and durability of the block.There could be storage issues due to the size of it. I am just leaving it on the kitchen counter as it just adds beauty and a wow factor.

Gorgeous Addition to my Kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE my Boos Blocks cutting board! It is now truly a staple to the look of my kitchen. Not only is it sturdy and large and a great surface to cut on, but it's also a beautiful color and material to forever stay on the counter. It's heavy so it doesn't slide around like other cutting boards and super easy to clean and wipe down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you enjoy the feel of a solid wood board I would look no further this is the highest quality chopping blocks and cutting boards. It's beautiful and very well constructed. My very sharp knives keep their edges with this board. This is solid and heavy, does not slide around when using. I'm very pleased with my cutting board. An excellent board that just does it's job, day in and day out. If you get this board you will probably never have to buy another board again. It's the very best brand and the only one I use.

Top Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after using low quality plastic cutting boards for years. After reading about the plastic particles that can find their way into your food, I decided to go with the brand I always seem to see on cooking shows. This cutting board is luxurious. Nothing I throw at it leaves a mark, and it even comes with what you need to take full care of it. I plan to purchase a few smaller ones as well just to make sure I have every size for every job.

Absolutely massive, great prep area

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an older, second-hand Boos kitchen cart and know that their products are built to stand the test of time so when we wanted to add a large butcher block another Boos was an easy choice. The 24"x18"x1.5" size is absolutely massive, we plan to use it primarily for vegetable prep and dough but it would be an ideal size for large cuts of meat like briskets and racks of ribs. This particular board is edge grain (long pieces laid horizontally, end grain is small pieces standing on their ends) and has recessed grips on the sides making it easy to move or turn over to use the reverse side. Since it is reversible we did choose to go ahead and treat both sides with both the Mystery Oil and Board Creme. We used their applicator as well and instructions were clear and easy to follow. We treat one side and wait about two days before flipping to treat the reverse. A cutting board this size and quality is a investment that will last a lifetime with proper care.

Nice large size for food prep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cutting board had a classic look. It is oversized, giving plenty of room for preparing vegetables. It looks good left out on a counter just as it is. The wood is easy to clean and care for and has notched hand holds to easily lift it up. Wooden cutting boards are nice for keeping knives sharp, and I appreciate the size of this one.
