Doesn't do much, yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was expecting more findings from it, but so far the only things I'm using it for is heart rate, O², and occasionally turning off an alarm. It can be used to take picture. It can apparently do pms (I'm a man so this is useless). I expected a lot more functions, especially for the price tag.

Terrible Battery Life
on December 10, 2025
Posted by: Jayce
from California, USA
I really liked my ring while it lasted, but not even a year and a half after ordering it (just over a year after receiving it) the battery life went from about 7 days down to 2 days. It's not worth the price if you have to buy a new one every year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Howdy Jayce, Thanks for providing us with detailed feedback regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your constructive input as we improve our product line. Samsung offers a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which can be added to your eligible devices. It's like extended warranty and an insurance package coupled together to provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you the ultimate peace of mind when added to your eligible devices. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please feel free to check out the resources shared below to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your device. Let us know if you have any questions afterward or if you'd like any further assistance by reaching out to Samsung Support. Thanks for choosing Samsung! - Debra

This product has a light on it that will be blinking at you ALL NIGHT, I've owned this product for a week as a Christmas gift and of course cannot return it otherwise it would be gone. I've woken up in the middle of the night from this ring blinking its light at me every night since I've owned it, do not buy if you enjoy sleep

Good day Nick, Thank you for taking the time to share your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. The red and green LEDs are active sensors for blood oxygen and heart rate, which are crucial for detailed sleep analysis and energy scores. You can reduce the light intensity or temporarily disable specific measurements like blood oxygen in the Galaxy Wearable app to make them less bright and save some battery, though they typically turn off shortly after you take the ring off in the morning and sync. Feel free to check out the resources linked to help resolve what you have described to be experiencing with your device. If you would like further assistance afterward, do not hesitate to reach out to Samsung Support. Thanks for being a loyal Samsung customer. - Debra

I was very excited to receive my galaxy ring but must admit to being disappointed. It does a fair job monitoring my sleep but lacking in monitoring everything else. I hate that I have to reinstate my workouts through the app even after stopping for just a few seconds. The ring needs recharging far more frequently than advertised.

Quit Working After 17 Months
on February 7, 2026
Posted by: SamsungCustomer
I purchased Galaxy Ring August 2024. The battery drains within one hour after being fully charged. I tried all the steps in the troubleshooting guide and problem remains. I expected the ring to last longer than 1 year. The warranty was only good for 12 months so the only chance of getting it repaired is to send it to Samsung's repair shop. They don' give you an idea of what the possible cost to diagnose and repair the ring would be. I definitely would not recommend this product.

Update: I'm [not] so disappointed [anymore]
on August 2, 2024

Update: After more than a week now and switching the ting to my none dominant hand. The accelerometer issue with count all of my hand movements for work per day as steps has resolved. Ibwish id been alerted when i was using the sizing kit that not only is the index finger optimal, but non dominant hand is the best choice. Oh well,I'm not spicy about it at all.
I only have it listed as a 4 (4.5 isn't an option) star because I still wish it took constant spo2 readings throughout the day the same as bpm readings. And there are a few other Health app functions I'd like to see modifed. But that really is more about the app, AI, and how they interface with the ring. (Samsung im open to sharing app interface ideas, you have my e-mail). Otherwise, I'm completely over joyed with having jumped on pre ordering the ring the first moment it loaded in my Samsung app.
(Original post): I love having a ring as a health and activity monitor that's great. Blood oxygen is the bomb... when you sleep, however you can't get it to measure when you're awake or on demand. I was hoping to be able to track it throughout the day too but it's only on the watch. But hey, the accelerometer works... too well. It way over counts, every tiny movement I make with my hands counts as steps. I do a lot of typing, weaving, knitting and I get credit for steps with every stitch, thousands a day when I've spent most of it on my butt. Which makes it useless to me for tracking my health or fitness with such horrible step inaccuracies. I'm so disappointed 😞
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great to have for tracking important things.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so obsessed with this smart ring. I can track my sleep, BPM, stress levels and so much more. I'm glad I made this purchase and definitely a samsung girl for life!
I love this ring. It does so much. It captures information while I sleep to then create an energy score for the day. Galaxy AI combines sleep information, heart rate, exercise, body temperature and other measurements to determine my energy score each morning. When I am not wearing my Watch 7, the Ring tracks steps and exercise also. This Ring is amazing and a great complement to my Watch. I absolutely love it. The battery lasts for days before a charge is needed. It charges quickly in the case. Buy the Ring, you wont regret it!
