The Ring looks and feels incredibly cheap. It looks like painted plastic and feels like it as well. I know it's supposed to be titanium, but it doesn't look like much at all. I might be willing to overlook that if the thing actually worked, but after several hours of wear, it managed to record my heart rate once. (Yes it's fitted properly and I'm wearing it in the right orientation.) There's no option for continuous monitoring. And the gesture feature that was so highly touted in the description doesn't exist unless you have a brand new top end folding phone. The worst part is that trying to return the Ring is an incredible pain in the butt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Ring is great, but will not work with the watch ultra, it works if you are not wearing the watch. If you like to fidget with a ring I can cause discomfort because of the raised bumps for the heart rate tracking. Other than that I can't sleep with a watch on and it's awesome to cover sleep patterns, heart rate, and stress while sleeping.

I really liked the Samsung Ring. I did have to return it though because I have really bad Rheumatoid arthritis and my hands/fingers swell so I could not put it on after I got it. I did not want to get a size that was much larger because the swelling does go away sometime then I would not be able to wear it at all. If this condition was not so bad I definitely would have kept it and continued to use it.

I am probably going to return this. Not because it is a bad product, but because I didn't think through my use case before purchase. It has a week long battery life, great. I can't tell the time with it, boo. I think I what I need is a second watch to switch to, not a ring that can only do half of what the watch can, at twice the cost (albeit that's new ring vs used/refurbished watch).

The battery life lasts up to seven days for sizes 12 and 13, and up to six days for smaller sizes. It is consistent with water-resistance classification (up to 100 meters of fresh water for up to 10 minutes) and IP68 rating (up to 6 feet of water for up to 30 minutes). Remember to rinse off any residue and dry the ring after getting it wet. The Ring measures blood oxygen, cadence, calories burned, distance traveled, duration of exercise, duration of sleep stages, hours slept, respiration rate, resting heart rate, and skin temperature.
