No gesture controls

The ring is ok, but I can't rate it 5 stars, because they don't give you all the features. I have a galaxy s24 ultra and don't have access to the gestures. This is very disappointing, why promote something and not let people know it's not available to everyone

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us, Angel. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continue to make improvements. We see that you reached out concerning the Galaxy Ring. The Galaxy Ring supports gestures! If your phone is operating One UI 6.1.1 or higher, you can you can dismiss alarms or take photos or videos simply by double-pinching your fingers. You just have to enable the setting first. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone. If you have more than one Wearable connected, such as Galaxy Buds or a Galaxy Watch, then you will need to navigate to the Ring first. From here, tap Gestures. Tap the switches next to Dismiss alarm and Take a picture or video. Tap Try it to test whether or not the ring is capturing your gesture. Simply perform the gesture shown in the app by double pinching your fingers with the ring on one of them. If you still cannot get it set up for your S24 Ultra, we recommend that you reach out to us at Samsung Support so that we can further assist you. -Kelvin

Great alternative to a watch

I've had this for about a month now and couldn't be happier. For starters, the sizing kit was super helpful and really gives an excellent idea of how the actual ring is going to feel. And I've had different Galaxy Watches and I loved the fitness/health tracking but I found that I still used my phone for most things and didn't love wearing the watch. This takes care of all that. I get all the tracking that I want in a much better (for me) form factor.
I will say, I have big hands and so I'm wearing the largest size on my ring finger. Oftentimes, it feels like it's on the verge of beginning to fall off. I think this is more due to my hand than the ring itself and it has never actually fallen off. And this is part of why I'm so impressed with the sizing kit, because I had the exact same issue with that. I can't recommend trying that first. It will give you an excellent idea of whether the ring will work for you. As everything else with it works exactly as you would expect. Really a great product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cool Product for the OCD

I've been using the Ring a week now and like the knowledge it has to offer. It gets more intuitive as it gathers info from daily use. I wish the Energy Score adjusted throughout the day instead being set at the beginning of your day. I have Samsung phone so setup and connections were pretty much on autopilot. Happy with my purchase

Great entry into the ring territory

The Samsung Galaxy ring is really good at keeping track of your sleep, steps and love the energy level score it shows everyday. The reason I gave 4 stars vice 5 stars is because the battery charging case should be improved to clearly show what percentage the ring is at as well as the case itself. The case should also indicate the ring is actually charging.

Very effective ring, but only problem is that the app doesn't have much to it. The app could use more options.

The ring is good but I think its over counting steps and wish it was better at picking up physical activity like working out.

Pain to take off to recharge
on September 20, 2024

Physically, it is hard to take off due to its inner sharp edges. It should have had a smooth rounded inside edge (comfort fit edge). You have to take this on and off ever other day to recharge the battery. Technically, It cannot see how many flights of stairs were climbed. For these reasons I would not recommend this first Gen.

Response from Samsung USBy R&R TeamSeptember 21, 2024
Thanks for reaching out, Sams. Our goal is to make sure our customers have the best experience with our products. We see that you reached out to share your thoughts on the Galaxy Ring. Your Samsung Ring automatically tracks the number of steps you've taken while wearing it. There are different factors that can cause the ring's step count to be inaccurate. However, you may need to verify how your steps are being counted by Samsung Health. The accuracy of the ring's step measurement can be affected by the following factors: Make sure your ring and the Samsung Health app are using the latest software. Environmental and skin conditions may affect how well the steps are recorded. Steps are not counted when there is no hand movement in the exercise. For example, steps may not be recorded when pushing a lawn mower or cart because your hands are not moving. The ring is intended to calculate real step counts while walking. If this continues to happen, we recommend sending an error report. If you’re having an issue with your Galaxy device or an app on your device, you can send an error report to Samsung. This can be done through the Samsung Members app or by using the desired app on your device. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone or tablet.
2. Tap on "Menu," which may appear as a circle in the bottom center of the screen or three horizontal lines on the left side.
3. Tap on "More" in the upper right, which looks like three vertical dots.
4. Tap on "Settings," and then tap "Contact us" at the bottom.
5. Tap on "Error reports" under "Send feedback."
6. Select the wearable device(s) you are having issues with from the list, and then tap "Next."
7. Make sure "Send system log data" is checked, and then fill out the other required fields.
8. If you want to include an additional attachment, tap the "Attach" icon, which looks like a paper clip in the upper right corner. You can add a photo, screenshot, or voice recording.
9. When you're ready, tap the send arrow in the upper right corner.
If this continues to be your experience, please reach out to us at Samsung Support so that we can further assist with this. -Kelvin

Tracking isnt that great without the watch. I tested it with my vigorous daily excercises and came to the conclusion. Its a overpriced pedometer.

Thank you for contacting us, Ruiz. It seems you got in touch to share your feedback about the Galaxy Ring. The Galaxy Ring automatically recognizes your activity and starts recording after you exercise continuously for a certain period. It collects activity diagnostics such as steps, exercise time, and calories burned. You can view all the diagnostics using the Samsung Health app. If you find that the information on your watch is inaccurate, we suggest sending an error report. To send an error report for your Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Buds, or Galaxy Ring, you'll need to use the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone or tablet.
If this persists, please contact Samsung Support for further assistance. -Kelvin
