Love the Features, Hate the battery life
on September 16, 2025
Posted by: DoloresC

I received the ring as a Christmas gift. The manual says the charge will last 1 week. Initially, the charge did hold for about 1 week. Now, it barely holds for 1-day. For example, I charged it yesterday, and today it’s at 15%.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Aloha DoloresC, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your feedback is appreciated as we strive to improve the performance and functionality of our product line. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which can be added to eligible devices. It's similar to extended warranty and an insurance package combined that provides protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It would cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you the ultimate peace of mind when added to your eligible devices. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please take a moment to review, "How to charge the Galaxy Ring" if you would like to learn more about the factors that may be impacting the life of your device. Let us know if you would like any further assistance afterward by contacting Samsung Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

Disappointed with battery life
on September 29, 2025
Posted by: Raulvilla
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like Samsung products. I waited for the Samsung Ring to come out and pre-ordered it. I bought it over the Oura ring, wanting to have everything Samsung. Black size 10. I've had it for over a year, and the battery only lasts for 36 hours instead of 7 days. It has lost some of its black color, and a shiny finish shows in parts of it.
The software that it uses is great. I do enjoy checking my sleep, heart rate, breathing rate, daily step count, and the other functions. But the quality of the ring itself has disappointed me.

Response from Samsung USBy R&R TeamNovember 7, 2025
Hello there Dwood178,
Thanks for reaching out to share your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Wearing your Galaxy Ring along with your Galaxy Watch provides continuous and comprehensive health tracking, offers convenient charging options, and extends your Galaxy Ring's battery life by up to 30%. Your Galaxy Watch serves as the primary device, managing data from both, while the Ring acts as a backup, ensuring uninterrupted health insights even if one device is charging. This combination offers a more complete picture of your health and fitness data within the Samsung Health app. Your Galaxy Ring is awesome at tracking metrics like steps, distance, calories, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), blood oxygen, skin temperature, and sleep stages. It also provides an energy score, offers sleep coaching, tracks menstrual cycles, and automatically detects and records workouts like walking and running. Additional features include gesture control for phone functions like dismissing alarms or taking photos, wireless charging, and integration with the Samsung Health app for personalized insights, all without the need of a subscription! In order to ensure that your Galaxy Ring remains in its pristine working condition, after exposure to liquids other than clean water (such as coffee, beverages, soapy water, oils, perfumes, and chemicals such as sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and cosmetics), please rinse the Ring with clean water, wipe with a soft, clean cloth, and dry thoroughly before use to maintain water resistance. The Galaxy Ring battery can last up to 7 days and if you combine that with a full cradle charge, you can get up to 14 days of battery life without plugging into an outlet! Feel free to check out, "Galaxy Ring won't charge" if you find your device no longer taking a charge. Please check out the resources shared below. Let us know if you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance by reaching out to Samsung Support afterward. Thanks for being a valued Samsung customer.

Good idea, okay execution
on November 10, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ring tracks a lot of what you'd like, but it's weirdly hard to view certain things, and there are surprisingly limited exercise tracking options. Several dozen exercises arr options to track but almoat none of them include heart rate tracking, which I would have expected to be the very basic minimum. I've also had battery life issues recently, though I'm hopeful those will be resolved by a service repair in progress.

Bricked halfway through product warranty
on December 4, 2025
Posted by: Jayk
from Utah
This product should be recalled.
The battery on the Samsung Ring is considered by Samsung to be a "consumable" yet cannot be replaced.
So when my 6 month old ring battery went to 8 hours to get to 42% and then 45min to go to 0%, I, a Samsung owner of their stove, washer and dryer, tv, and galaxy phones with the 3, has to enter the broken process to fix it.
Do not buy unless you plan to get one every 3-6 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great replacement of a smart watch
on January 28, 2026
Posted by: John N
from Birmingham, MI
Verified Purchase:Yes
I have worn a smart watch for close to 8 years. Switiching to the ring has been a great chance to "unplug" a bit more as I no longer get the notifications buzzing on my wrist anymore. I still get the health tracking, but with less distraction. I also get to wear all of my older regular watches that have been sitting idle for so long.
definitely recommend buying and switching.
I would recommend this to a friend!
