Switched from Oura to the Samsung ring because I didn't like Oura's connection to Palantir and their connection to government surveillance. So far, so good.
I had to get a second one due to the battery not holding a charge/ being toast after a yr.. Great starter ring hopefully battery longevity and battery life are improved here, otherwise good riing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First one died second replacement unit worked fine for couple of months but now start loosing battery in 4 days

Hey SamsungEcosystem, thanks for reaching out to share your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring with us. We appreciate your candor as we continue to improve the performance and functionality of our products, thanks to feedback like yours. As you know already, Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which can be added to eligible devices. It's like extended warranty and an insurance package coupled together to provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It would cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you the ultimate peace of mind when added to your eligible devices. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also standing by to assist you with any repair needs you may have as well. We understand how frustrating it may feel to have a device that may not be performing up to its expectations. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please feel free to review, "How to charge the Galaxy Ring" if you would like to learn more about what factors may be impacting the life of your device. Please feel free to also check out the resources I've linked below for your review. Let us know if you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance afterward by reaching out to Samsung Support. We're always happy to assist you in any way that we can! Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

Horrendous product. Purchased the ring about 9 months ago and use sparingly the first 4 months, daily for last 5 months. Battery life about 5 days per advertised. Last week, the ring battery suddenly dropped from 60% remaining to 0% in matter minutes and drops 20% each 2 hours. Ring does not last a day now. Contacted warranty support and the support website says the ring is out of warranty now even though it should be a 1 year warranty. Ditching the samsung ring and shopping for alternative ring now.

I was so excited to receive my galaxy ring in August of 2024. The ring worked well until a week or so ago when it would not keep a charge for longer than six or seven hours at most. Even though I keep it in its charging case while not wearing it. It is to expensive to not last longer than it has. The battery is horrible. I expected Samsung to do better than that. I own four Samsung watches and never had a problem with neither one of them.

I've been positively impressed with the ring so far. I do acknowledge it is effective for folks that are part of the Samsung ecosystem, which is the largest downside to me. Nevertheless, the lack of a subscription fee is great, the AI Insights somehow always guess when I've had some drinks, and the recommendations for increasing my energy score tend to be helpful. Meditation part is still in Beta but I'd love for some functionality for pairing with Headspace instead of Calm.
