Doesn't stand up to the competition

I had an Oura ring for a little over two years before it started to show major signs of wear on the battery. I didn't even have this for a year and it won't even record through a night of sleep. I love Samsung and was really excited to see them come out with a ring. The information gathering is fine, it looked great and tracking was good too. But not even a year? Come on Samsung, you can do better than that!

Greetings Christi, Thanks for taking the time to share your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your constructive feedback allows us to make improvements on our device functionality and performance. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which can be added to your eligible devices. It's like extended warranty and an insurance package coupled together to provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you the ultimate peace of mind when added to your eligible devices. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Take a moment to review the resources shared below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing with your battery life. If you have any questions or if you would like further assistance afterward, please let us know by reaching out to Samsung Support. Thanks for being a loyal Samsung customer. - Debra

I bought the black Samsung ring in November 2024. Within a few months, the color was wearing off. Within 10 months, the battery went from lasting 7 days to lasting 7 hours, and I am not exaggerating. The website takes you around in circles. I am now out of my warrant because it was too difficult to navigate to get help. So, after wearing the ring for 10 months, it is basically worthless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ring has been amazing to use. Ive had it for over 6 months. I use it on the daily and the data each day gives me soooooo much inside! This ring usually last around 3 to 4 days before it needs a charge. It records not only my steps and BPM but it also records my sleep! It even records my sounds while sleeping, when im in REM sleep and when my heartbeat and pulse spike. Watching the data spill in has been not only helpful but it has helped me learn what I need to change and improve on
Battery life will not last longer then 6 months. After that ring will die half way through my sleep cycle of 8hrs even though I fully charged it the moment I decided to close my eyes.... it's such a waste of money I wouldn't recommend to anyone! I got it as a Christmas gift and I really regret it now...... 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 I was also depending on using it to track my menstrual cycle and ovulation to try to get pregnant and now I will clearly not be using it and not helpful at all. Worse product ever.!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seriously, this smart ring is a game-changer for my fitness journey. I snagged it on an early Black Friday deal, and it's been awesome for keeping tabs on my health. The way it tracks my sleep and activity is super accurate. Plus, it's so comfortable to wear, I barely even notice it. Definitely a win for staying on top of my wellness goals. I'm really happy witg how the Galaxy AI helps integrate all your devices and compiles all the data to get a good understanding of your health and wellness journey, like giving suggestions on how to optimized your sleep time. Even though it really complements the tracking of vitals (heart rate, sleeping, body temperature, etc.), it doesn't do as great with step count when you don't have a watch to help it. Hopefully, this is fixable with a future software update.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ring works really well amd I use it daily for tracking my health, sleep and steps. but something has caused it to disconnect more frequently from my phone and it doesn't seem to keep a charge a long as it used to but like most technology when it works correctly it is fantastic and super accurate and helpful. I would still recommend this ring to others because it does work well for tracking my sleep, steps, energy, blood oxygen levels, heart rate and so much more. Overall I would say it is a good device and worth having.
Ring is cool at first, but battery life won't last past a few hours after about 8 months. Cost is not worth it for a diagnosis to repair.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Ring works just as good, and for me, better than the Oura Ring. PLUS NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION. But also on the other hand, ive been using Samsung Health since they came out with it.
