Battery life is an issue over time.

I want to love my ring but I just can't. I am on my second ring after getting my first one replaced. I had my first ring for less than a year when the battery started draining extremely fast. I was having to charge it every 48 hours. I sent it in for "repairs" but it couldn't be fixed so I was given a refund which I used to purchase a new ring. I've had this ring for less than 6 months & I'm now having to charge it every day. I could send it in for repairs but what would be the point. I am sure the exact same thing will happen. I wear my ring every single day. I never get it wet, even though it is supposed to be water resistant. I have never fully trusted that feature, lol. So, I really dont want to go weeks without it again.
I am so extremely disappointed! I am a true Samsung fanatic & want all of my devices to be connected. I was so excited about the potential features. But I really could've purchased a different brand if I knew that the ring wouldn't last at all & would be an absolute waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Howdy DownWithDawn,
Thank you for finding the time to share your feedback with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to provide the best products with superior functionality on the market to our customers. As you know, Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ that is similar to extended warranty and an insurance package combined that provides protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It would cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you that peace of mind when added to your eligible devices. With the Galaxy Ring, you're able to slip your device on and forget it with a seven-day charge that won’t slow you down. Combined with a full cradle charge, you can use Galaxy Ring for up to 14 days without plugging into an outlet. Please feel free to review the resources provided below to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your device. If you have any questions for us afterward or if you would like any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a loyal Samsung customer.

Dead Battery
on March 5, 2026
Posted by: Joey
from Los Angeles, CA
After several months of ownership, like many others, the battery no longer holds a charge. I now only wear it at night just for the sleep tracking to which it has roughly 15% remaining battery charge. It cannot hold a charge for a full day. When it worked it was a good addition to my Samsung watch for tracking, but the battery design is flawed. Avoid this model and wait for a future product if you must.

Hi Joey,
Thanks for reaching out to share your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. It's understandable that you may feel frustrated with your experience if your device is no longer performing as expected. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please do not hesitate to contact Samsung Support at one of the channels shared below if you would like further assistance after reviewing the resources provided. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer.

Will fail on you right when the warranty expires
on February 28, 2026
Posted by: MagnumPE
I bought two of these rings. BOTH of them completely failed within 15 months of purchase - basically stopped working and wouldn't hold charge or connect. Fortunately for me, one of them failed within the 12 month warranty period. Unfortunately for me, the other failed just after and I am stuck with a very expensive dead device. 100% FAILURE RATE.
