Nice but killed by updates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've had this ring for about 2 years since it first came out. And I will say, I thoroughly enjoyed the ring when I first got it. Like the first 2 years, but as of recently, I feel like all the updates have killed this ring. It's making it to where the ring is useless because the battery is no longer holding up to it.I might get like a quarter of a day out of one charge.I'm having to charge the battery up 2 or 3 times a day. I feel like this ring would probably be better if they really researched the software. And the firmware updates on it. And I feel like gin 2, that needs to be a priority for the battery and the software to be really focused in on other than that, the ring is good. I enjoyed it. If you get one brand new, I feel like it'll work good. But I will say, after a few years, maybe like a year and a 1 you might start seeing it. It's gonna just drop and it's not like a steady drop. It's a big fall off 1 day. I was charging up like once every 7 days. And then next time, I was charging it up 3 times a day.

Good day Kaosvonstone, Thanks for taking the opportunity to share your thoughts with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We appreciate your candor as we continue to innovate while making improvements on our product line to best suit the needs of our customers. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. Please check out the resources shared below and let us know if you would like further assistance afterward by contacting Samsung Support at your earliest convenience. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My entire ecosystem is Galaxy stuff, from phone to headphones to watch to ring. I added the ring because I wanted to keep better track of my health. It worked great for a while, then the battery just went out. It won't even hold a charge overnight. I don't seem to be the only one having this issue, and Samsung hasn't seemed to address it at all, which is concerning.

Salutations Jdub88, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We value and appreciate your insights as we strive to improve the design and functionality of our product line to align with the needs of our customer base. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ that is similar to extended warranty and an insurance package combined that provides protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It would cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ offers you that peace of mind when added to your eligible devices (Phones, Tablets, Watches, Buds, Rings & PCs). Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. With the Galaxy Ring, you're able to slip your device on and forget it with a seven-day charge that won’t slow you down. Combined with a full cradle charge, you can use Galaxy Ring for up to 14 days without plugging into an outlet. Please feel free to review the resources linked below to help resolve what you may be experiencing with your device. If you would like any further assistance afterward, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a loyal Samsung customer. - Debra

I liked the watch at the beginning, because I didn't have to wear watch sleeping. Over time, the ring would disconnect often from phone. Unfortunately, the battery quit charging after the one year warranty ended. I could have sent in to repair, but cost more than buying another ring. After reading several reviews on here, it seems Samsung has a known battery issue on the ring. Most right after the year warranty expired. Samsung should do the right thing and offer free battery replacement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
