[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this device for a few months - battery stoped holding a charge - will die within an hour of charge.
Got hot while wearing the device. The features are fine minus this.
Would not reccomend - just get the watch

Hey Sparky,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. Your critiques provide valuable insights that will assist us with improving our product line. As you know, Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. We also offer Samsung Care+ which is similar to an extended warranty and an insurance package combined. It can provide protection beyond the standard manufacturer's warranty. It could cover events like accidental damage, mechanical breakdowns, and potentially theft and loss. Samsung Care+ truly offers you the ultimate peace of mind when it comes to protecting your investment. Our partners at UbreakIfix are also available to assist you with any repair needs you may have. On a single charge, the Galaxy Ring can last up to 7 days, depending on usage. Battery life may be extended by up to 30% if worn alongside a Galaxy Watch, as this helps reduce redundant feature usage. For optimal battery performance, it's recommended to store the Ring in its charging case when not in use. If left outside the case, the Ring's sensors will remain active, resulting in unnecessary battery consumption. Battery life for your Galaxy Ring can vary depending on environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can all affect battery life. Also, usage patterns: frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts. All Galaxy devices have a set temperature range, where they operate at their best. While they may feel warm under certain conditions, like charging, this does not affect the device's lifespan or performance. However, if your devices get too warm, it could cause some issues. Although your Galaxy devices may get warm sometimes, they have built-in safeguards to alert you and protect themselves if their temperature exceeds the normal operating range. Please feel free to review, "Keep your Galaxy device at its normal operating temperature" to learn what factors may be impacting the temperature of your device. If you would like further assistance after reviewing the resources shared below, please feel free to contact Samsung Support at your earliest convenience. Thank you for being a loyal Samsung customer.

Steer clear of this ring!
on April 13, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So have had the ring a little over a year. It's been good until fairly recently. Battery life has dropped to barely a day. Apparently this is a widely complained about issue and is known to Samsung. Of course this happens right after the warranty. Samsung is refusing to do anything other than pay a stupid amount to send it in to be evaluated. For the price just going to switch to a more reliable brand. Do yourself a favor and do not get this ring!

battery failed
on April 13, 2026
Posted by: chip11
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The battery failed just after the warranty period of one year. This appears to be a problem that is well documented (do a quick search). I only used this during sleep, but maybe spending time on a charger daily was too hard on it. customer support was not very helpful and it was going to be very expensive to fix this. I have zero confidence that a fix would last more than a year. Shame on Samsung the way they treated people who purchased these rings.

Maybe 2.0 will be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the ring totally fail in 9 months. Battery issue apparently, which seems chronic in the design.
The replacement is fine so far, but it hasn't been that long yet.
This aside, I have to say it's kind of just okay feature wise. It basically does sleep tracking for me. For steps, the Watch is much more accurate.
The gestures are kind of useful, notably dismissing alarms. I tried using it to take pictures/videos, but it keeps accidentally triggering. Too hard to avoid in that use case IMO.

Battery/Trade-in

I love the ring but am very disappointed in the battery life. I have to leave it on the charger at least 12 hours for the battery to last through night. I use it to track my sleep and many nights it disconnects at some point over night. I'm also disappointed that Samsung doesn't offer a trade-in offer for their own ring. It seems suspect to me that the Galaxy ring isn't offered as a trade-in option.

If you are not sure, get the Aura Ring
on May 6, 2026
Posted by: healthmaxer
Bought my husband an aura ring and myself the samsung ring for Christmas last year becasue I have an S24 and I thought mine would be a seamless integration. His ring always connects, mine I have to turn the bluetooth off and on or go to wearable and reconnect or keep the ring in the holder and open. Every morning some kind of frustration and his just connects and works perfectly. 4 days agomine just dies. I only wear it at night to sleep so the amount of damage it could have gotten is minimal, if any at all. Would not purchase again.

Hello Healthmaxer,
Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Ring. We can hear your frustration and we're here to help. If your Galaxy Ring disconnects from your phone, then there may be an issue with the Bluetooth connection. You can fix this by reestablishing the connection, ensuring there are no obstacles, and updating the Galaxy Wearable app. The Galaxy Ring battery can last up to 7 days and if you combine that with a full cradle charge, you can get up to 14 days of battery life without plugging into an outlet! Please keep in mind that frequent use of features like sleep tracking, work auto detection, and gesture controls can impact how long the battery lasts as well as environmental factors like temperature, network environment, and signal strength can also affect battery life. Please take a moment to check out the resources linked below to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing with your device. If you have any questions or if you would like further assistance afterward, please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support at your leisure. Thank you for being a dedicated Samsung customer.
