Family washing is a breeze!

Easy to build together, managed do do this solo. The separation has been great to speed up the chore of laundry as it's pre sorted ready for the washer. I wasn't sure the size of the 3 areas would be big enough, with the exception of bedding or towels this is more than big enough for the standard clothing loads.

Life changing inanimate household object

Ok so what’s the big deal? it’s a laundry basket. It’s big, it’s expensive and you have to put it together yourself.
BUT if an inanimate household object can actually change your life for the better, then this is it.

Previously the sight of what felt like a continuously overflowing family laundry basket would haunt me with washing guilt.
I would be stuck in what felt like laundry purgatory. The relentless sifting through and torturous sorting of, the smelly socks and what nots into appropriately differentiated coloured loads; only to succumb to the devastating realisation that your sort was in fact premature for optimum wash capacity. So you shamefully once again start the machine with only a half full load of whites. NOT ANY MORE

This holy grail of household essentials has changed everything.
Each compartment facilitates the ‘sort at source’ process into dark, coloured and white loads. (Other arbitrary labels are possible as refreshingly you are not forced to embrace classic sorting combinations with the absence of unnecessary written descriptors.)
The thoughtful addition of a lid hides the taunting glare of the laundry from your peripherals; allowing you to undertake a load readiness assessment at your own discretion. Each compartment and logistical transfer bag is the optimum load capacity providing ‘at a glance’ indication of wash cycle readiness.
The accompanying sense of relief and what can only be described as smugness experienced on the confirmation that an optimum load level has indeed thus far not been reached is truly liberating.

Caution is required however on the assumption that participants in the self sorting laundry process will be competent from the start. Teaching and supervised practice is required for a transitional period. This period is subject to the behavioural change readiness of your household participants so do consider this in your purchase. The introduction of rewards and /or reprimands may be necessary to expedite the required behaviour change.
Specific warnings:
Be mindful of the ‘shover’ participant who may apply too much external force to a garment subsequently exceeding load capacity and skewing the assessment findings.
Be mindful too of conditions such as colour blindness and bone idol ness as further adaptations may be necessary.

Brilliant laundry basket

I recently purchased the 90L tota trio laundry basket and am so glad that I finally bit the bullet and got this because it has made doing the laundry much easier and has also encouraged my husband to put a load of washing in as he no longer has to worry about mixing up the colours.
Assembly was relatively straightforward. The basket is very sturdy and is attractive in the bathroom. It isn’t the cheapest option but is well worth the investment in my opinion. This will last for years to come.

Great once assembled
