Fantastic multi functional hard floor vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is best used for hard floors in preparation for hard floor cleaning. It does a great job in full stand up mode collecting cat liter and food crumbs in the kitchen. It is not meant for the floor; however you can take apart the vacuum and use it as a handheld. I love that it uses a cord instead of batteries or recharging because I don't have to worry if I charged it enough. My only problem with it is the small canister; I wish it were a little bigger. I find myself emptying very frequently. However it is fully serviceable and I do appreciate that!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using this lightweight but worthless vacuum on carpet and flooring in a small (796 sq ft) apartment. The vacuum must be cleaned out several times during each vacuum because once it get dirty inside, it will not pick up anything! And once I clean the vacuum, it barely picks up anything. I have only had it a short while and use it about once a week. I bought it because it was small, lightweight and inexpensive. I also needed one that would not be hard on my back. I think I am expecting too much! It just does not do the job I need. My apt is not dirty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry you're not happy with the vacuum, Linda. The Featherweight doesn't have a brush roll for carpet and works best on hard floors.
