Construction, design, and controls are simple and hope these lend to its durability and longevity. Cycles and options are straight to the point. Noise is not an issue. Capacity is a big advantage over other commercial models that have much smaller drums. Run time is great with very little pauses. Drum does not suffer so much from excessive shaking and cycle doesn't get terminated when load is unbalanced, and this is generally a common advantage of top loaders over front loaders. When using powder detergents, make sure it does not sit on top of the load as sometimes it will not get dissolved and stick to clothing. Machine could have improved for a better soap dispensing design.

GREAT PRODUCT & LESS BELLS AND WHISTLES

Although we just bought our new washer and dryer yesterday morning, as with all of the many GE products that my wife and I have bought, some that we never registered because of the G.E.'s reputation and the 5 year warranty on our new washer, yesterday morning our washer & dryer arrived, installed and last night, without use of an owner's manual for the washer we washed our first load and, as expected, both machines were very easy to operate, which is the main reason why, out of all of the many other models that we looked at, we selected these two models, even though we paid much more in price just because we knew how simple and easy it was going to be to operate and use of both of these two machines.
