What Happened To Bosch Quality

I have been a huge Bosch fan for a while. My new 800 series dishwasher has been somewhat of a disappointment. Hard to set controls, dishwasher starts and then quits 15 minutes later, never will do a full cycle on "Auto", leaves a soapy feeling on dishes, and when it does finally do a full cycle, it does not dry the dishes very well.
Our previous Bosch Dishwasher was excellent, easy to start, very clean dishes, and the dishes were very dry when done.
We are trying to be happy, but it's been a disappointing start to this 800 series.

Bosch 800 series

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new dishwasher! Our previous Bosch lasted 14 years. We thought it ran quiet but I had to put my hand in the door to see if this one was actually running! The new drying system is fantastic, glassware is spotless.

Liked My Old Bosch Better

I needed to buy a pocket door dishwasher for my remodeled kitchen so I chose a Bosch since I was happy with my last one. The new one has some features which I'm not really happy about. One of the worst features is the door slams closed if you don't open it at least half way. Which is inconvenient since I usually only open it 1/3 of the way to put silverware or small items in the top two trays. My old Bosch stayed open no matter where I left the door. This door has nearly slammed on my hand a couple of times. Also, the dishwasher was not coming close to drying my dishes even with the crystal drying feature. I'd open up the door and there would be moisture everywhere. I finally had to to turn on the sanitation cycle and go on their app and extend the drying time. That finally worked, but it defeats the purpose of energy consumption when it takes 2 hours to finish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great dishwasher, one caveat

I don't understand why there is no clean/dirty end of cycle indication, Bosch has had the red/green Timelight functionality, or projected time remaining display for years, why eliminate it now? Not all kitchen users will have the app/online status. This is an 800 series after all.

Excellent product

We have just installed the 800 series DW. Very impressed with the quality, easy of installation, quietness. The dishes, glasses, and silver wear are beautiful clean.

So quiet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is so quiet that at first we thought it wasn't working. My only slight grievance is I wish there was a little bigger utensil holder, but the upper (3rd) shelf helps balance that out.
