Oven does not cook prperly

Something does not seem right with my oven. It does not rmaintain the temperatures and does not cook properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Frigidaire Range

I bought this about 6 months ago. Very disappointed. Like to bake, but the oven drops from 15 to 20 degrees when I open the door to take the cookie sheet out of the oven...less than 30 seconds. I have used a lot of ranges, but nothing as terrible as this one is! Do not buy..even if you are desperate!!

It may be helpful to note that when the oven door is opened—even briefly—heat will naturally escape, and a temporary temperature drop of 15–20 degrees can occur. The control system is designed to compensate and bring the oven back to the set temperature shortly after the door is closed.

Very disappointing

Oven does not work properly, shuts off when you open the door during baking. Left front burner is red hot on simmer. I am told this is a common Frigidaire issue but did not see it in the reviews I perused prior to buying this range. I am told the range will not be replaced as it can be fixed but the part may take up to 4 months to arrive from the US. The range was purchased in November 2025. Very frustrated and disappointed.

If the oven shuts off when the door is opened, please ensure the door is closing fully and that the door switch area is not obstructed, as an issue with the switch can interrupt operation. For the left front burner remaining red hot on simmer, please confirm the control knob is properly seated and turning smoothly. If the burner does not regulate heat, the surface element or infinite switch may require service. For safety, we recommend avoiding use of that burner until repairs are completed. You may also try resetting the range by turning the circuit breaker off for a few minutes, then restoring power.

Good functional range

Bought it as pat of a Reno job as electric ranges go it does a good job. I am use to a gas cook top so this one takes longer to heat and cool.
I would recommend this to a friend!
