Everything I needed to get sewing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to try my hand at some simple sewing crafts and a few easy stitching jobs for a while now, but I wasn't sure where to start. I learned how to sew many years ago in school, but I'm still somewhat of a beginner. I needed a sewing machine that was easy to use, but also had enough features to get the job done. This Singer MX60 Sewing Machine with 57 Stitch Applications and Accessories, seemed to fit the job. This MX60 has a simple-to-follow threading guide, and the stitch selection dial is very easy to use. There are lots of different stitches to choose from, including basic stitches like straight stitch and more.
I recently used the MX60 to sew a blackout lining onto my curtains. It was so easy! I was able to sew the lining on perfectly, and now my curtains are both attractive and effective at blocking out light. I love that the MX60 comes with a pack of accessories, including needles, bobbins, a seam ripper/lint brush, an all-purpose foot, a buttonhole foot, a button sewing foot, spool pin felt, and a darning plate. This means that beginners like me have everything we need to get started with sewing, without having to worry about needing any additional accessories.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with the Singer MX60 Sewing Machine. It's a great machine. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable and easy-to-use sewing machine.

This is my go to for teaching how to sew using a sewing machine. My kids have enjoyed it so much. It's easy to bring out when needed and put up and away when not in use too! Its easy to use and works great!! I'm so happy with it!!

Perfect For Mending, Crafts, And Small Projects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Singer MX60 sewing machine has an extremely heavy frame that prevents it from shifting or skipping stitches while you work. But even though it has a heavy frame, it's very lightweight and perfect for projects away from home. I like that this mechanical machine is portable and has a handle at the top to make it easy to carry. I also like that the machine is smaller and great if you don't have a lot of space in your sewing room.
The MX60 is perfect for mending jobs, crafts, and small projects. If you want to get really creative and do bigger projects, then this machine is not for you. I've been sewing my quilt blocks and hemming clothes that needed a little TLC. I didn't have any issues and was pleased with the end results of my sewing projects.
This sewing machine has 57 stitch applications and six essential stitches for fundamental sewing techniques. And allows you to create buttonholes. All of these features are on the dial on the front of the machine. The machine only came with instructions on how to thread the machine, plus there's a diagram on the machine showing you how to thread the machine and the bobbin. The machine has a front loading bobbin. I like that you can sew stitches in reverse with the help of a reverse lever. The lever has to be held down, and it's a hard push. You have to stop, turn the fabric around, and again hold the lever down while turning the wheel. I wish Singer would have made it easier to do the reverse stitch by just pressing the lever, and it locks in place until you're done.
This singer also came with adjustable thread tension and thread cutter. One thing this machine is missing is the automatic needle threader. I wish Singer wouldn't have left this out on the MX60. The sewing machine came with an accessory kit that had needles, bobbins, a foot pedal, etc. The foot pedal is really fast, and I wish it didn't take off like a race horse. One thing I really liked was the light. It's very bright and great to use in the daytime or even in the evening hours to see your projects a lot better.
I like that this machine is simple to use even though there's a few things I wish Singer would change on it. But even though there's a few things I didn't like, I think this machine is perfect for my quilting and craft needs. We are going to have a craft show at the church for Christmas. This sewing machine will allow me to be creative and make pot holders, bowl holders, fabric purses, and so much more. I'm having so much fun using this sewing machine.
It doesn't come with instructions, but you can look up the manual online and download it or print it out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome, lightweight and portable sewing machine that is perfect for a beginner like me. It’s been decades since I have used a sewing machine, and this one is easy to use, comes with power cord and clear instructions. Very well made and I didn’t know how much I needed a sewing machine for hemming and other miscellaneous projects and fixes, and now I am ready to get creative and start sewing more challenging things like pillows and costumes for my little ones. So fun! Very happy with this Singer!
