This bag is terrific for carrying my Singer Start 1304 sewing machine. The hard bottom helps protect the machine and helps the bag keep its shape. There's lots of extra room in the main compartment when the machine is inside, and the front compartment offers even more room to stash supplies . I like to keep the foot control in the front compartment too.

Well-made buy way too large for the machine. I purchased the SINGER Heavy Duty 4452 Sewing Machine and this was the bag recommended for the machine. There were inches around the machine so it was not steady while trying to move from the closet to the sewing table.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
