[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Singer Fashion Mate 3342 sewing machine. I like that it is lightweight and portable so you can easily take it with you. It was easy to thread as well as to thread bobbins. I love the drop and sew bobbin feature that is right in front of the needle that makes it so easy to replace the bobbin. It comes with accessories like bobbins, needles, feet, a seam ripper and more. It has several built in stitches to choose from that can be easily changed with the dial and it has a built in needle threader which is a plus. You can adjust the length and width of the stitch easily and it has a reverse lever so you can secure your seam to prevent unraveling. You can remove the storage compartment to give you access to the free arm. It also comes with a dust cover to keep on it when not using. I was recently asked to hem a bridesmaid dress for a family member and was so glad to get this sewing machine in time to make the alterations. I look forward to making some new things with this sewing machine.

My 50 year old White ZigZag machine wouldn't sew knits so I decided I would like a new machine. Except for a problem threading the bobbin, this is so easy to use. Steps are numbered for threading and the needle threader is great. It strains a little going through heavier thicknesses of fabric but that's fine for what I'm using it. I'm very pleased with my new Singer Fashion Mate.

I like that it is so lightweight that I can move it to the dining room if I want to. I like that buttonholes are relatively easy. I like the way threading instructions are painted on the machine. I don't use it constantly so would forget some things if there was a gap in time between uses.
Pros: Versatile

I hadn't seen in years, then came the pandemic. I got out my old machine and it lasted about 125 masks. With it hard finding parts, I decided to buy new and am.so very glad I did. This machine is so easy as and versatile. The only thing I haven't figured out is the automatic threader. Lol. I'll get it. Thanks Singer!

I just purchased this machine after my older singer (50 years old) had the bobbin winder malfunction. No one knows how to fix this. Automatic bobbin winder was a dream. But the automatic needle threader is a nightmare!! I tried for 40 minutes to thread it automatically and gave up. I threaded it myself. If not for this "feature" I would love the machine. I did notice that the bobbin thread sometimes skips. Thankfully I'm not doing any heavy duty sewing.
