Broken optical digital audio port

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to use this soundbar with my new Samsung tv. There are several ways to connect this soundbar to the tv and the best option would be using optical digital audio. Unfortunately, the port for the optical digital audio is not functioning. When I plug an optical cable to my tv it lights up indicating it's working but I cannot connect it to the soundbar because it is too loose when plugged into the port. I tried using a different optical cable and had the same issue. Using just bluetooth, the sound quality is subpar. I believe all other reviews say the sound improves immensely using optical digital audio, and I am disappointed I will not get to hear that.
