These COB lights are great! Excellent diffusion even though they are thin. No visible spots from just a foot away. I bought two strips for some movie library lighting on some shelves I made.

This product is so amazing and well done! I recommended it to all of my family which a few of them go it too! It was easy to set it up to the Govee app and Apple Home within 15 minutes thx to Matter. I love how it’s a mix of both the strip lights and my neon lights, which makes them all the brighter! They rolled out nicely and are definitely bright enough for the darkest parts of the house or room. The only downside, like with every Govee product, is the brick is as big as my neon lights but I cannot use the plug in next to them because of how bulky the bricks are. Also, even though this device allows you to cut it to fit perfectly where you want it, I personally would never cut it because of how expensive it is and what a waste it would be for all that hard work especially if I move it some where else and the piece I cut off can no longer go back on making the lights not look good in that spot. All in all, it is an amazing product just with two unfortunate downsides that could be done differently in the future products.

Lights are great, software is meh

Purchased 4 units for under kitchen cabinet. Simple to plug in and connect to app. The cables and power brick are a little bulky, and takes some work to hide them. However, programming DIY and Tap-to-Run colors schemes is a challenge and takes some time to figure out all the menus, sub menus and TINY icons for editing. i.e. 1. set up a group of lights. 2. create a DIY. 3. add the DIYs you create to the shortcut screen. There is no way to access DIYs from the Home screen. You have to navigate to them via the Group. The interface needs some work. There is NO help or instruction on programming. I like the lights. Recommend. The diffusion is great.

Needs more professional/custom installation options such as direct support for splicing sections together and hardwiring. Many other brands offer easy to use connectors that help split sections or navigate corners. On these the electrical terminals for each segment don’t align with the designated cut points.
