I love staub. I have a 4 qt cocotte and have been using it weekly since i purchased it. I bought this one to make smaller portions and because it is aesthetically pleasing. I took off a couple of stars because there are a lot white paint speckles on the inside and a couple of yellow/rust-colored stains on the bottom. Because it is white, I think these 'imperfections' were more pronounced. I am happy with the quality (other than cosmetic) of this and I foresee myself using this often as well.

This flawlessly white petite french oven will perfectly cook whatever you put in it. Ideal for rice, grains or oatmeal, the self-basting lid and pre-seasoned interior coating will yield wonderful results. Plus, it's so cute and clean that it will look fabulous in any kitchen.

This cast iron, tough little guy makes cups of fluffy rice due to unique chevrons beneath lid that continually circulate moisture. White colour looks and stays clean due to enameling.

Not Just A Petite French oven! It is white!

This Petite French oven has conical bottom shape that allows stirring and mixing effortless. It is perfect for cooking small portion soup and sauce. To my surprise, this petite French oven is a perfect rice cooker too and even great deep frying small food.
A daily pot for casual meals or sumptuous suppers. Slightly shallow but still has a good food space.
Compare to cocotte lids features tiny spikes on the interior, this French oven has chistera lid for excellent self-basting properties.
Chistera lid performs the same functionality, that continually release condensed liquid back onto the food, yielding moist, flavorful results.
It does make a difference food taste wise, efficiency-saves gas and you can serve your delicious dish straight to your table without the need to use another dish.
Compatible with gas, induction, ceran, halogen, and electric cooktops.

Dainty and durable!! This is a great size and shape for morning oatmeal. I like using this for polenta and grits. The higher sides are perfect for those bubbly dishes!

Cooking for 1 or 2? perfect!

Love this pot for a simple meal for two. Cast iron is an awesome cooking medium. It heats to super hot for searing then I can turn down to simmer gently. I use it often for rice and other grains - buckwheat, quinoa, barley - then mix vegetables in for a one pot meal.
The beautiful enamel coating also makes for a beautiful way to present at the table.

This petite French oven cooks grains perfectly. We use it for individual servings of rice casseroles and pot pies. It has self-basting Chistera spikes on the interior of the lid which collect and return all moisture back into dish - nothing dries out and the food stays moist. The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly and evenly, also stays hot for hours. We have even used these as serving dishes for hot cheese dips!

Adorable multifunctional pot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for cooking as well as baking. Works on all types of cooktops. The round shape is great for any cooking surface, and makes scooping out easy. Cute as well! Not too heavy, like some of the larger sizes.
