[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife is lightweight and very comfortable to use. It glides through whatever it’s cutting without the food sticking to the blade. It’s functional and absolutely beautiful!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Handle feels very nice and looks outstanding. Blade also looks very good and most importantly is extremely sharp. Knife is pretty light weight but is very easy to use. This is now my Second Miyabi Birchwood and I am extremely pleased with the build quality.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful and incredibly sharp knife! The blade is lighter and thinner than a typical knife, which adds to the proper balance for a quality knife.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received as a gift. This knife looks absolutely stunning and is extremely sharp. Be careful, unless you do not need your fingertips. Truly beautiful, love the Birchwood series.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife is absolutely gorgeous. This is my 3rd Miyabi and 2nd in the Birchwood collection. The quality of Miyabi is unmatched. Knives come out of the box razor sharp. The first time I used this knife I cut chives and it was a dream. Can't wait to order another Birchwood Miyabi. Most definitely my favorite knife brand!
This knife is beautiful and at 9.5 inches, is capable for the majority of jobs. Compared to the gyutos and santokus, this one has more weight on the blade end and makes some chopping tasks easier to perform. (Similar feel to a nakiri) the SG2 core and Damascus layers feel solid and still thin enough to slice through foods. I like the straight portion of the knife closer to the heel as the majority of my cutting is push cutting and chopping. This has a high price tag but is definitely worth it if you can afford it.
