[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value overall in terms of the quality you receive for the price. I did notice a couple of the knives came with scratches on the blade but they were still sharp. I’m not sure if this was a one off, minor defect as the package itself was well wrapped and intact. The look is very sleek and fits the colours of my kitchen counter, I’m happy with the purchase

This is a beautiful forged knife block set. Forging improves a knife's weight as well as giving it better edge retention (will stay sharp longer). It has great weight and balance and the curved handle is very comfortable. When knives are replaced in the block, the edges are reset, guaranteeing a sharp knife every time.
With these knives, you can chop vegetables, peel and pare, and the serrated utility is designed to cut through anything hard on the outside and soft on the inside, such as a tomato, orange or a roll.

Excellent set for any kitchen. Knives are made from high quality stainless steel, won't rust or tarnish. Blades are razor sharp and durable. Ergonomic handles are comfortable and easy to hold, even through marathon prep jobs.

This is a nice set of forged stainless steel knifes that are well balanced and stay sharp. This block has a built in mechanism that automatically sharpens the knife edge during every removal.

The Elan Self-Sharpening 7 piece block set is a great starter set. Like that each knife has it's own sharpening slot and keeps each knife safe & ready to use. Good quality from Henckels.

A nice and essential block set. It has a good mix of large and small blade shapes. I like the color of the block against the color of the knives, looks really nice on the counter top. The best part is I don’t have to sharpen these knives with this block. Knives feel nice in hand and have a nice edge on the blade.

This nice set of knives is an absolutely fantastic value! It has all of the essential knives you need with the advantage of custom, self-sharpening slots. You'll never have to worry about these knives going dull! These handles are also extremely comfortable and nice to work with while prepping meals. The forged steel blades are super durable too and I like that each knife has its own assigned slot for sharpening. Plus, you get six, quality matching steak knives to truly complete the Elan collection.
