I’ve had this knife since 1985. I bought it through my employer and have never regretted the purchase. However about two years ago I noticed a crack in the handle that runs from the center of the bolster/handle interface on the bottom to almost halfway down the handle. Here’s my dilemma my knife blade is still in great shape and sentimentally it means a great deal to me. Can I return it for a repair and keep the original blade or will it be surrendered for a replacement?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement for the exact same knife that broke when accidentally dropped onto a tile floor. A very sharp knife that easily slices my artisanal sourdough bread loaves.
