I like that the 3 smaller knives are knives that are used quite often in the kitchen. Not a lot of blocks carry this configuration and this one is impressive. Every knife in this block is a knife you would most likely buy on its own because they are used that often. Great value with German steel and made in Germany. The block has a couple extra slots so if you find another knife you can't do without, you will have room to store them in your block.

This set has every knife you need in a kitchen. The knives are made from German Special Formula Steel and fully forged. This means the blades will stay sharper longer and are extremely durable. The set includes steak knives which are made with the same quality.

Classic design & lifetime quality

Professional S is terrific line of knives. They feature a traditional straight bolster and a slightly smaller handle. As a result they are a little lighter than the new Pro line. I have owned one of these knives for years (more than 10). It has performed year in and year out, and I cook a lot. I sharpen it maybe twice a year. I always hand-wash all my knives, even though they are dishwasher safe; that's probably why mine looks almost new.
This set has every knife a person would need for a long, long time. The only thing it's missing is a carving set for the holidays. Maybe a 7" filleting knife if you like to prep your own fish.

Best Knives I've Ever Used!

I purchased this knife set a couple years ago and I have had no complaints with them! I love how classic these knives look and I know that I will have these for as long as I am cooking! I love how it comes with every knife I will ever need and steak knives too!

This is a dream set of kitchen knives. Everything you could want in a high quality set and then some. 3 different kinds of paring knives, 2 serrated shapes and of course the wonderful steak knives. The bamboo block is so nice and smooth, it looks much better finished that others out there I really like haveing the full bolster between the handle and the blade, it adds weight and makes me feel a little safe away from the sharp (really sharp) edge.

These forged knives have an amazing feel. You'll enjoy using them because they are weighted perfectly and are razor sharp. They glide through everything effortlessly and are easy to keep sharp because of the high quality steel. This set includes every knife you'll ever need plus eight steak knives.
