Great set of knives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best set of knives I have ever owned!! Beautiful and functional. Love the balance and weight. A little disappointed the steak knives are made in Spain. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because my beautiful expensive knife set has scissors stamped Made in China on them. That shouldn’t be.

Good Knives for the money

I ordered this set because it had 18 knives and I needed different carving knives. The smaller sets only had one Carving knife and 6-8 table steak knives. At first, I thought this was a good deal, but as I looked closer I discovered first, that the knives were made in India, not Germany. It is stamped right on the knives. The knives are very thin compared to the better sets that are actually made in Germany. Just Cheap junk made in India. My first Review I gave these knives a 1 Star but they refused to post it and got back to me saying the knives were made in Germany, so they sell junk and lie. I would not recommend this manufacturer, just cheap junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Classic design & lifetime quality

Professional S is terrific line of knives. They feature a traditional straight bolster and a slightly smaller handle. As a result they are a little lighter than the new Pro line. I have owned one of these knives for years (more than 10). It has performed year in and year out, and I cook a lot. I sharpen it maybe twice a year. I always hand-wash all my knives, even though they are dishwasher safe; that's probably why mine looks almost new.
This set has every knife a person would need for a long, long time. The only thing it's missing is a carving set for the holidays. Maybe a 7" filleting knife if you like to prep your own fish.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overpriced and just OK

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The set is exactly that.. OK. I was looking forward to superb quality of a complete set. But I was disappointed to find that although everything (but the fine print) says Made in Germany, a lot of it is not.
Also, for the price, I expected to block to properly fit the knives. But instead it looks like a mismatched set just thrown together on my counter. Disappointed to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
