A good beginner chef knife for those just starting out on their own and setting up a kitchen. The chef knife is the workhorse of the kitchen and would please anyone just starting their cutlery collection. Lightweight and fits nicely in your hand.

Solution knives are a great value priced line of knives that are perfect for a starter kitchen. Stamped from a single sheet of high quality stainless steel they are light weight and corrosion resistant. A full tang of steel running through the handle makes them stable and sturdy. I like the way the handle is high on the bolster because it provides a comfortable area for my pinch grip. A chef's knife is the most used knife in the kitchen. It is good for dicing, chopping, cutting and slicing. It can be used on fruits, vegetables and meat. The blade feels nice and sharp.
