Four Star is a classic! On the market since the 1970's this knife has stood the test of time and still looks fresh and relevant. The molded handle feels secure and fits nicely into the hand. The balance is great and the edge stays sharp due to the ice-hardening process. This is a great knife to use on veggies.

I was looking for a Japanese Santoku Knife but couldn't afford one made in Japan. I bought this because it was manufactured by Zwilling so knew it would be good quality. I'm really happy with my choice and use it for chopping vegetables for stir-fry.

Broad, Sharp Santoku made from the best German stainless steel. forged for balance yet not too heavy. Hollow edge to prevent excessive food sticking to blade.

Great knife

The weight on the Four Star line of knives is conducive to easy cutting and chopping. It is comfortable to hold with the rounded edges. The Hollow edge Santoku is a delight to use with its flat cutting edge and the small dimples that allow food to slide away easily.

The Four Star 7 inch hollow edge santoku knife is wonderful for chopping! The hollow edge repels food from sticking to the blade. It has a super sharp blade and a very comfortable handle. It is lighter than most German knives and supports fatigue free cutting.

Great workhorse in the kitchen

For me, the hollow-edge 7-inch santoku is THE knife to use. It is the right length and width to work with when I am cutting vegetables, meats, fruits. And the hollow grooves also called a Granton edge provide that little extra bonus that makes butterflying a chicken breast a little easier. The little divots create a tiny air gap that reduces friction when I'm working with wet ingredients.
There’s a reason the Four Star line has been a part of Zwilling’s lineup forever. It was designed with professionals in mind, so the focus was on safety, comfort and durability. The ‘grippy’ polypropylene handle is proportionate to the blade and the work - therefore no excess weight. The blade steel and method of construction is proprietary and at the forefront of technology. The blade can both take a beating and hold an edge, ideal for daily use and hard work.
Although dishwasher safe, all knives perform and look better if they are hand washed. I’ve had a Four Star in my collection for decades. And it still comes out for certain jobs. I expect it will be there for a while longer.
