Essential Knives

You can do most anything with a chef and paring knife. Both are incredibly sharp and have a great weight and balance. My only suggestion would be to add a sharpener or honing steel.

Great for students

I gave this two piece set to my daughter when she was in her first college apartment.
She and her roommated used the heck out of the knives (and probably put them in the dishwasher) and they held up great. Stayed sharp and still look like new.

These two knives will get you on your way to cooking like a pro! This is the set I bought for my first restaurant assignment. I love these knives! The chef's knife is still with me.
Professional S is terrific line of knives. They feature a traditional straight bolster and a slightly smaller handle. As a result they are a little lighter than the new Pro line. I have owned one of these knives for many, many years. It has performed year in and year out, and I cook a lot. I sharpen it maybe twice a year. I always hand-wash all my knives, even though they are dishwasher safe; that's probably why mine looks almost new.

Exceptional value for two of the most used knives in the kitchen. I have these on my magnetic knife holder, always at the ready. I bake a lot and cook every day and the paring knife makes quick work of peeling and coring fruit. I like the Professional S line, the heft of it and the handle fits well in my hand. You can't go wrong with this match.

The most used knives in my kitchen are the chef and the paring knife. I was so excited to add this set to my block (yes I had space) because my teenagers are starting to help with dinner prep, we no longer need to wait for someone to finish to use the chef or the paring. It mostly benefits me but it also lets them keep their hands busy at the same time!

I love this 2 piece set. It comes with the two most important, useful knives for your kitchen. I love how the bolster protects and guards my fingers when I am cutting. These knives are super sharp, so I definitely do not want to cut myself.

The Chef and paring knife are two of the most used knives in the kitchen. Wanted my son to have decent knives while he's in college, and figured these two would allow him to do all the cooking tasks he encounters while not cluttering up his counter with a block set.
