Realistic expectations

I have ad this set for years. I have all of the Professional S knives, but use these for those rough or quick jobs that I don't want to grab my good knives for. These aren't $40 each knives, but for a quick cheap set of knives they are great. Like all knives they do need to be sharpened and will not keep an edge forever. However, when sharpened, they do hold an edge for some time. Overall I think they are a great bargain for the price.

Two out of three knives are blunt.

I bought this set during a trip in te USA, knowing ZH was a good brand. The package was a bargain, I thought. Well, two out of three knives were blunt, so allmost 12 dollars for 1 sharp paring knife isn't a bargain, is it?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great utility, every day use knives

I've had the 4 piece set for quite a few years and use (2) of the (4) pieces daily. I've a whet stone handy and can sharpen the edges on these knives very quickly. I do not expect them to perform like the professional knives I use but they are great for the intended purpose.

This pack contains all the little paring knives you need for whatever small prep tasks you're tackling. Whatever you are using them for, the handles are extra comfortable and the blades stay sharp for a long time.

Perfect for Your Picnic Basket

The set is perfect for a picnic basket or camping box. I actually keep this in my car (trunk) as someone always seems to need a knife somewhere. This year I used it as little Christmas gifts for family and friends.

Terrific trio of paring knives. Super sharp blades for small tasks. Pull them out of the drawer when I prefer not to use the good knives, i.e. carry outside to the grill, pack in the lunch box, picnic in the park, etc.
