This is a really nice little paring knife to have in your block or drawer. I love the weight and the comfort of the handle. Makes the little prep tasks so much easier.

Fantastic Paring Knife

I purchased this a few days ago and I love it. It's an all-around fantastic paring knife. It's weighty but not too heavy and it fits comfortably in my hand. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again or recommend it to a friend.

This particular knife has a single side grind (one side is flat; no edge grind). I notice that this causes the direction of the cut to deviate. I remember seeing this method of edge grinding start maybe 15 years ago on many brands and did not like it. I am assuming it reduces cost of production since it eliminates work on one side of the blade. I am used to traditional knife edges with a two sided grind and IMO two sided grind is superior.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We first bought the 4" paring knives in the late 1970's. Due to losses over the years, we recently found it necessary to purchase some replacements. What a delight when we opened the parcel. The knives look exactly like the ones we bought 40 years ago. Best of all, the quality of the product is still outstanding. The knives cut so easily and are very comfortable in the hand.
