Cool, Controlable Li'l Chefs Knife

I like a bit smaller chefs knife...this certainly qualifies. Best Zwilling German stainless combined with super balance and nearly indestructible handle.

Great general use knife

I wanted a smaller chef knife for the general cooking tasks I do. This knife has done a fantastic job so far. The edge came very sharp and seems to hold its edge well. I strop it, but have not had to sharpen it yet. The blocky handle is a bit less comfortable than some of my other knives. But so far this has not caused any problems. My only real complaint is that some of the edges that Should not be sharp are. Some edges around the handle need some buffing/sanding to get them smooth. This was a minor issue as I can fix it myself. But for the cost, I would have liked to see the edges and tooling cleaned up a bit more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently I bought Zwilling Pro Knives (8' chef's knife, 8' bread knife, steak knives, prep knives, etc.) for myself. I love all knives that I purchased and I am using them everyday. My mom tried those and she wanted to have a smaller version of chef knife. I had no choice but to buy this one for her.

Right Tool for the job. When you need a wider, sharper knife this will do the trick. It's a little heavy, which I prefer but you can definitely start chopping and rocking easier with this when you don't want the length. I cook primarily with vegetables so I do a lot of chopping, mincing and slicing. This is a powerful knife for those jobs. Sometimes the Chef's knife is a little too long. This fits into that need.

Great for chopping smaller vegetables

This 6” chefs knife is great for those with smaller hands or for cutting smaller vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, onions, etc. I’d definitely recommend a larger knife for cutting meat or starch root vegetables.

Always had trouble handling a standard 8" chef's knife, so my husband suggested trying the 6" blade. The Pro 6" chef's knife fits like a glove. I now have better control when cutting and am no longer intimidated. The knife is also considerably lighter than the knives I've previously used, which is an added bonus.
