This set includes some of the most used knives in the kitchen and will become indispensable when tackling your tasks in the kitchen. I have found that the traditional D-shape handle makes all my tasks much more comfortable and the sharpness of the blades, adds to the ease.

This beautiful Kaizen 2 set is made from high quality FC61 steel. This helps ensure the blade is not only scalpel-like sharp, but also be durable. This set is all you need to get started, but also offers room for growth if you want to add more knives to your collection!

Japanese quality and craftsmanship. The damascus blade and rounded handle create a beautiful knife. It is incredibly sharp and lightweight as you would expect from a Japanese knife. The block has all the essentials for any kitchen prep work. Great investment.

great approachable Japanese set

I have wanted to explore Japanese cutlery for a while but I was a bit wary of some of the maintenance. This set alleviates that for me. The type of steel FC61 can get super thin like traditional Japanese steel but is much more user friendly and chip resistant. It sharpens very easily as well. The damascus style of the blade brings it to another level. The layering is exquisite. The shape of the wood handles are very comfortable. I look forward toi adding more pieces in the future.

Would not recommend for beginners unless you have strong knife skills and are willing to take care of them. Very sharp and well balanced with beautiful detailing on the blades and handles.

It comes with all the knives we use the most and room to add to the set in the future. We have only used it for a few weeks, but love it so far!!! We are former Cutco owners and couldn’t be happier with the switch!! Far superior knives!!
