Perfect size

This 6" knife is a good alternative to a chef for small tasks. I use it to slice meat and root veggies for stes and it does what I need and then some. It is a good size for cutting up fruit too.

Super Sharp and Great for small tasks

I pull this knife out every time I have to cut up something that I think a chef's knife would be overkill for, which I am finding is more and more items, such as apples, oranges, garlic, or strawberries. I love that the blade is thin, so that I can take the stem off of strawberries without taking off a bunch of the sweet fruit. The handle is super comfortable and I liove the fact that this is made in Spain, rather than China, like a lot of the other knives in this price range.

I am so glad I purchased this workhorse of a knife. I love the size, it is so versatile and fits so nicely in my hand. German Steel, made in Germany, durable, sharp and best thing is, it retains its sharpness. If you are like me, you will find endless tasks for this knife; almost the perfect size for everything,

Handy for slicing and peeling.

Many people have grown up using this type of knife for all their cooking. If this knife looks familiar to you, then you cannot go wrong with the quality and workmanship. It's called a utility knife because it can get lots of things done in your kitchen. It will slice fruits, vegetables and meats easily. I have used it to peel melons very efficiently. Its length and shape is comfortable to many people, my husband included.
I really like my Henckels Classic knives. I've had mine for 20 years. These are forged knives made of quality steel. They have a triple riveted handle, a comfortable integrated bolster. Even if they aren't made in Germany, the steel is, and their quality is unquestionable.

Handy Knife for Small Jobs

This is a great knife for any type of kitchen task. Whether to chop up a couple carrots or butterfly chops or chicken breasts, this blade size is perfect for those types of jobs. Strong German steel and a forged blade ensure this knife is up for any task and will stay sharp with little maintenance.

I was looking for a knife that was a little smaller than my chefs knife but bigger than my pairing knife. This knife suits my need perfectly. The blade is sharp and the perfect legnth. The forged German steel is very sharp and easy to maintain. For my daily fruits,veggies and cutting sandwiches, this is my go to.

Comfortable to Work With

I prefer the utility knife over a chef's knife because I feel as if I have greater control over the smaller, and narrower blade. Works great for slicing, dicing, mincing and cutting. Nice one piece construction with full tang which makes it more durable and reliable when cutting harder foods. Priced right for German high carbon steel, because it is manufactured in Spain.
