I love this color, it always makes me happy to pull it out and have it on my stove. I love all of the cocottes because they have superior browing and frying capabilities and nothing sticks to the bottom of the pan. I love the spikes on the underside of the lids that continually baste your food whether in the oven or on top of the stove for a long braise. I take the cocottes straight from the oven or stove to the table for serving, so one less dish to wash. Cleaning is easy as well and I never need to use more than a plastic mesh scrubber to get it nice and clean.
This little cocotte gets a lot of use in our house. It is our go to "heat up" pan as well as making quick soups. My daughter loves the way it steams her vegetables. The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly and evenly, also stays hot for hours. It has self-basting spikes on the interior of the lid which collect and return all moisture back into dish - nothing dries out and the food stays moist. My son has even used it to fry his daily burger snack. He likes how the meat is seared.
