Form and function perfection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This knife is beautiful from the Damascus finish to the birchwood handle. You can tell that the level of quality is exceptionally high for them. In addition to the visual appearance, this knife cuts like butter through anything. Out of the box sharpness was very good and with a few strokes on a leather strop, it was razor sharp. This birchwood line has the perfect amount of Damascus layers and doesn’t feel like you’re pushing a wedge through your food. Overall very happy with the knife and this will be my go to in my knife drawer.

Amazing

First up, this knife is evenly balanced. I cannot say the same for the knife being replaced. Secondly it is stunning and super sharp out of the box. 10 out of 10 a wonderful knife. This is slowly replacing a knife set that cannot pass a paper test. Needless to say - the differences are night and day. Miyabi Birchwood series are the best.

Chefs knife for home use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knife came in a nice display and the mirror like Damascus finish is impeccable. It's super thin but balanced. The Birchwood handle is gorgeous and adds just enough weight to give it the feel of a German knife with the precision of a Japanese sword

Just need to clean it carefully and take good care of it and you got yourself a knife that can last you a lifetime.
