This is a very low maintanence knife and a good value. Made for those who don't want to sharpen or hone a knife. Good for beginner chefs as well.

Never a dull

This knife nevers needs sharpening because it has small micro serrations at the edge. Cutting with Silvercap is a little different than other knives, I use more of a back and forth motion, but once you get used to it, cutting becomes much easier. Glade not to have to worry about whether my knife will be dull or sharp!

A great and convenient starter Chef knife. With the micro-serration on the German stainless steel blade, you don’t have to worry about sharpening your knife, making it a low maintenance knife.

Chef's knives are considered the mainstay of every chef's knife bag. They are designed for chopping, slicing, mincing, dicing, 'julienne-ing' and the list goes on. If you get one knife get a chef's knife (or a santoku). And if the Silvercap line is appealing to you, you cannot go wrong. These are good quality knives at an affordable price.
Silvercap knives are micro-serrated so they will stay sharp for years to come. No extra maintenance necessary. These knives are stamped from high quality German steel; a stainless steel that won’t stain, and doesn’t require special care. Just use, wash, dry and repeat. The full tang construction, meaning that there is a single piece of steel from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle, is stable and durable.

Practical and functional great Chef knife at a value. The nice micro-serrated edge means stays sharp and no sharpening! Good knife for outdoor use, patios, picnics, bbqs and concerts! Nice curved handle for good grip and comfort.

I use a chef's knife almost every day. It's just that one knife that can be used for chopping fruits and vegetables, mincing herbs, and even slicing meat. This knife has a fine serrated blade so it slices cleanly through your meats and veggies but doesn't require sharpening. The curved handle is comfortable and very durable.

This 8 inch chef knife is a great value knife for chopping, slicing, and dicing. Everyone should have a knife like this in their kitchen. It has a comfortable handle and a sharp blade for a very good price.

Sharp without ever sharpening

This is a great value knife for a starter kitchen or when you're teaching younger kids to cook. It has a micro serrated edge instead of a fine straight edge so it never needs to be sharpened but will continue to be able to make all the slices and chops you need for basic cooking. It's light weight making it a perfect beginners knife.
