Very nice knife, well balanced and a sharp, fine edge. Haven’t had it long enough to know if it keeps its edge well, though my other Henckles have.

My Every Day, Everything Knife!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our son, Vinnie, moved back in with us, due to the co-vid pandemic. He was a chef in Sacramento and the restaurant closed. He brought his knives along with him back to our Wisconsin home, And I loved using this J.A. Henckels 7"knife! Vinnie has since moved into his own place. When I asked him if he was going to take his knife with him, "Hell, yes!" was his answer. So for Christmas, guess what he gave me? My very own 7" Santoku knife! The best knife from the best son a Mom could ask for!!!

This is a comfortable and easy to use, chop, clean etc. i would recommend this as a starter santoku or if you don't use one very often.
