What I've Needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a carbon steel hickory handled knife for years. I love it, but it's so old that the tip is a bit bent. It's not the best for cutting vegetables any more. This new Nakira is fantastic and while still easy to sharpen, rust is no longer an issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the feel of this in my hand and the way that it slices vegetables and fruit, especially lemons and limes, is smooth and effortless. A wonderful tool in my home kitchen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The handle is a little heavier than expected but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Cuts very nicely and good control.

Veggies - Watch out!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nakiri nice has a very sharp edge and cuts through vegetables with ease. I was able to cut an entire head of cabbage with very little pressure. My old knife would require both hands to cut through the cabbage. The rectangular shape of the blade is also great for taking the cut vegetables and placing them in your pan. Two thumbs up for this knife.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the shape of the blade and the feel of this knife in my hand. It is fantastic for cutting and chopping vegetables, much better than my conventional shaped knives. The blade is thick all the way across the top and this gives great strength when cutting through thicker vegetables like squash. I do slightly miss more pointed knife tips that can get into narrower spaces, like broccoli florettes, but this knife is a wonderful addition to my kitchen and will be my go to knife from now on. Exceptional quality goes without saying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an avid knife collector, I was always told that I could never be satisfied with the performance of a commercial grade kitchen knife. The steel used in the production product would always be substandard. As I am used to M4 and S90V the "stainless steel" that was used in otc kitchen knives was never going to make me happy. Well..................I stand educated1!! The edge has lasted me a good while. It is similar to my VG 10 blades. It is softer that many of my sporting blades, but I am not planning to use it for bush crafting. Within its intended purpose it is fine. Simply use a strop every other time to keep it great. The ergonomics of the knife are perfect for me. I love the balance especially. You have a new customer.

A finely made knife. Super sharp and cuts through anything like butter. If I can use a knife to slice thru watermelon husk I am in love. Fine addition to my kitchen knives.
Arrived in damaged cardboard box. Plastic box holding knife was also damaged. Since it’s a gift, I called support to have a new one sent out (the first took about a week) and was told the next would take 6 weeks. They would not rush ship it which was surprising considering it was an error the supplier side, not consumer.
