Cast iron's properties are the most durable cookware, natural heat retention and redistribution that cooks well and evenly. Every Staub cast iron are enameled. Safe for use on all types of heat sources, including gas, electric, and induction, and oven safe up to 500F. Chip resistant and dishwasher safe. Made in France.
Black matte enamel inside and cooking surface creates a culinary advantage for better browning, braising, and roasting. Colorful enamel outside adds flare to your kitchen and table.
This beautiful Basil color is perfect to bring out during the holidays (or your green-themed kitchen) and the size can feed the masses. Expect maximum flavors due to the self-basting spikes underneath the lid and the exceptionally pre-seasoned enameled interior that is ideal for browning and searing foods. The nonstick coating makes for easy food release and clean up too!
I have several pieces of Staub. This one is a little larger than my others which is so nice for larger portions of soup or chili, a pot roast, or even deep frying. I'm amazed when I take the lid off how much moisture is on the dimples inside the lid. The basil is such a rich color, so beautiful for the winter holidays!
Love both the color and size of my new 7.25 qt. Coquette. It is the perfect size for fall family dishes. Wish I could keep all three of my Staub pieces on my stovetop, but, sadly, just a bit too heavy.
I’ve had my cocotte for a little over a month. For whatever reason, after I wash and dry the pot, there is a rusty, orangey residue. And when I oil the pot, small black flakes end up on the towel. I could be doing something wrong, but I’ve never had this issue with other brand dutch ovens.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
