This cocotte is the ultimate family dinner size and you may even have leftovers. You can makes soup, steam, deep fry, pan fry, bake or boil in it. The heat capability of the pan is amazing - heats up quickly and evenly, also stays hot for hours. It has self-basting spikes on the interior of the lid which collect and return all moisture back into dish - nothing dries out and the food stays moist. My favorite thing about the pan is how well it sears meat. Perfect caramelization every time.

Gorgeous pot that sits on my oven all the time, can handle high heat, makes amazing food. Heavy, but high quality. Knob on top does get hot.

It’s a great size for batch cooking and beautiful enough to take it straight from the oven to table for dinner parties. The height is just right where I am able to see into the pot without a step stool (i’m 5’1”).
