The perfect addition to any home kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I got this as a wedding gift and let me to tell you, it is probably the best knife set we've ever had. Not only do the knife's stay sharp, they are very easy to use and to rest in the hand while chopping. I love them!

Great starter set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this set for about a month. This is my first set of real knives. I reached my 5 year milestone from my company and it was between this Zwilling Gourmet 7 piece set or a JA Henckels International 14 piece set. Although I really wanted the JA Henckels, I decided to go with the Zwilling because it was made in Germany. I've done my reviews and ultimately I'd rather have the better quality vs more knives. They say the 2 main knives you're going to use really are the chef's knife and the pairing knife most of the time anyways. I'll eventually get some steak knives later but at least I can piece my set how I want. The main thing was getting the Zwilling German Chef's knife. It is really sharp, well balanced, and very high quality. The block is also very nice as well. The only reason I gave this set a 4 and not a 5 is because I would've wished for a Santoku knife instead of the bread knife and instead of the 3" vegetable knife (it already came with a pairing knife), maybe a 5" utility serrated knife. Lastly, the shears are made from China and not Germany. All these are not deal breakers. Very happy with my set.
