My son has been helping me in the kitchen since he was born & at 4 he's finally ready for a "real" knife to chop and be a deal sous chef! Love the details on this with the finger holders on the sheath and using the sheath to help cut. Knife is sharp enough to cut fruit, have tried hard veggies yet but I have high expectations this will be a greatfirst knife for my son!

This is an excellent idea, to design a finger guard for little hands. However, since it is also a sheath for the knife, it has a width that is not ideal for those little hands to feel where to actually cut. If the guard was just as thin as one side of the sheath, it would be a fantastic product. The knife is of excellent quality and comes very sharp (but not too sharp) for it to be used right out of the box.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome for kids!

These are the cutest knives for kids. I bought one for each of my daughters (they are 10 and 8) and they cut all of their fruit (apples, pears, etc.) using these knives with no problem. The finger protector is so great and the rounded end makes it super easy to teach them proper knife skills without worrying! Plus the knives are nice and sharp. I recommend these to everyone!

Great first knife for kids

Bought the knife for my daughter to learn how to cut simple stuff. The knife is easy to hold and handle for 6 year old kids, great way for them to start learning how to cut. It takes some practice for my daughter to learn how to use the bolster to hold the produce steady.
