This is such a great Japanese pairing knife. Made with the best steel and a beautiful handle, this knife is sure to cut with such ease and that it does! The investment is worth it.

One of my most used knives in the kitchen! I always have this knife close at hand when I am working in the kitchen. I bake so I am constantly peeling fruits mostly, but some vegetables as well. It is perfect for peeling the fruits and it is super sharp so often I can get that peel off in one long piece!

A traditional D shaped handle perfect for right handed people. True wood that needs to be dried immediately to prevent swelling and drying out. A beautiful knife if you have the time to maintain it.

The Miyabi "Black" line is the most beautiful knives I have ever seen. The handles are made of a beautiful black wood and the blade has a beautiful design. This paring knife is so sharp and is a nice length which isn't as long as most paring knives, so it is agile.

Starts with the hardest carbide Japanese steel. Forged and well balanced. Forged and tough. 130+ additional wraps keeps it stable and sharp. Hard, ashwood handle feels indestructible!

I use my paring knife a lot so I wanted to make a long term investment when I was looking for a new one. This one is as beautiful to look at as it is to use. The Ash handle is very smooth and comfortable in my hand. The unique wood grain is beautiful. The Damascus style blade is very sharp. The layers of high carbon steel and very hard core stays sharp for a long time and is easy to maintain. The slim blade design allows me to peel and shape with very little waste. The best tool for the job.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this product line. It's sharp and the handle is very sleek clean lines and smooth to touch. It's practically seamless between handle and blade. It's an art of It's own class. Very beautiful to look at.

Love my Miyabi Black knife. Beautiful 132 layers of Damascus protecting MC66 steel core, makes this knife sharp and holds an edge extremely well. Authentically manufactured in Seki Japan, sharpened using the traditional Honbazuke three stage method. Comfortable D shaped black ash handle, is the icing on the cake. This knife is a pleasure to use, and is truly a work of art.
