I want to love it, but I’m not quite there yet. It looks like a lot gets stick to the bottom and it is super hard to clean. Not sure what is going on.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
Because Staub enameled cast iron is not nonstick, some foods may stick during cooking. Allow the cookware to cool slightly, then begin by gently scraping away any food residue with a wooden or plastic scraper to protect the enamel surface. For more stubborn spots, a chainmail scrubber can help remove buildup without damaging the enamel. Gently scrub the area, then rinse with hot water. Once your Staub cast iron is clean, it's crucial to dry it thoroughly. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at hello@zwillingus.com if you have any further questions.
A staple for everyone’s collection. This beautiful pan is a must have for everyday cooking from eggs to steak or even baking, i love that it can go from stove top to oven.

I do not like the matte black finish. It's a bear to clean. Never had this issue with a Staub oven or griddle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your review and for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. The textured black matte enamel can be cleaned with soapy water and a sponge or with a non-abrasive cleaner. Every piece of Staub cast iron cookware is made from a one-use sand mold and absorbs enamel coatings in a distinctive way. Subtle differences arise from this production process and contribute to the intrinsic beauty of Staub products and reflect the artistic nature of the product. These unique features should never be considered as defective. We will assist you by contacting you directly.
