Fantastic steak knives they are razor sharp, they cut steak like butter. We have a bunch of knives from this line and we love them so we had to get these!

Great Hardwood Handle/ Nice Broad Blade

Just like the rest of Artisan line, the steak knives are premium SG2 carbide Japanese hand-honed steel. The hammered blade lessening food-sticking is an extra bonus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked up the steak knife set to finalize my Artisan collection. Steak knife is quite large and sharp enough to cut through any steak easily. Same quality and attention to detail as my 7pc. block set. Excellent knives for the price.

Sharp but fit and finish lacking big time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For as expensive as these are, the handles are small, uncomfortable and have sharp edges that shouldn’t be there. The bolster isn’t smooth and is scratchy on all 4 knives. The pin isn’t sanded smooth on 2 of them. The edge uniformity is also surprisingly off. The sharp spots on the knife are on the bottom third of the knife (where they wouldn’t ever be put to great use on a steak knife) not the tip as you would truly need. I’m not happy with them at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great set of steak knives

This is a great set. I love the look and feel of these knives. The hammered Tsuchime finish really makes such a big difference when cutting steaks or starchy foods like potatoes and it does not stick to the knife. The handle has a nice shape to it and really makes the knife sit well in the palm of my hand. It has a great balance to it. I like how this is such a sharp blade thanks to the ice hardening aspect.

Match this beautiful set up with your Artisan cutlery to impress at the dinner table. I love the bellied handles because they make the grip that much more comfortable and the hammered steel stays sharp for a long time so you don't have to worry about sharpening them for awhile.

My husband loves his Artisan knives, so for a special birthday we treated him to the matching steak knives. They are amazing, slicing through protein like butter. Beautiful to look at. His friends have been impressed. Great gift idea for a hard to buy guy.
