A beautiful bread knife

This is a really great Japanese bread knife. The Kaizen II has a beautiful blade with the 48 layers of the FC61 steel designed in a flower damascus pattern. The Micarta wood handle feels really smooth in hand, and has a nice roundedness to it. With the bread knife having the 48 layers of steel, you can really feel how much of a difference that makes when slicing bread, meat or produce. A great knife to have in the kitchen.

Redesigned Kaizen II is a hit!

If you liked the sharpness of the original Kaizen, but found the handle a little foreign, then it might be time to reconsider the Kaizen line. The handle and the bolster were beefed up to provide more feedback with a firm pinch grip. The 49-layers of steel are hand finished to an extremely sharp edge that holds. It has a double Damascus pattern that is stunning.
This serrated bread knife holds its sharpness. Use it for bread, heirloom tomatoes, even ripe peaches and pears. You will love it. (Also very good at cutting through grinders, hoagies and subs.)

You can't cut bread without a bread knife and this Kaizen II blade is one of the best out there. The handle is incredibly comfortable and the Damascus blade ensures long-lasting durability and effortless bread slicing.

Excellent bread knife

Beautiful to look at and slice. The steel has a one of a kind damascus detail. It's durable and slices through anything like it's going through butter. The handle is rounded like a Japanese handle. Extremely comfortable. Very lightweight. We love out Kaizen II knives.

No squishing !!!

High end, made from scratch by hand! This is a super steel,super sharp.
The design of this blade will cut through foods that have a harder exterior and softer interior. This blade will not shred or tear the softer insides. As you would expect from a Miyabi,Every detail is considered. All edges are rounded and flush!. The 32 layers of damascus protect the steel as well as add beauty! Amazing knife at a great price!

Japanese Bread Knife

Beautiful Japanese crafted knife. The 49 layer damascus serrated blade glides effortless through hard bread crusts with clean slices. Also excellent for baked sweet breads, angel food cake, tomatoes and citrus fruit.

Beautiful knife made from Fine Carbide steel (FC61) with 48 layers of Damascus surrounding the core. Each knife is unique, durable and individually balanced. The serration on this bread knife bites nicely into thick bread crusts and smoothly cuts the soft inside with very little crumb.
