Zipper connection to the bag is weak

The design of the bag zipper is poor and fails quickly. I bought the Fresh & Save for storing food (fridge and freezer) but also for sous vide. In both cases I wanted to stop throwing away the plasitc bags. I am disappointed that I will not get as much use out of each bag as I hoped, so I will still be discarding plastic and wasting money. As mentioned in other reviews, the zipper part is impulse fused to the outside of the bag and this is a very weak connection. I find the plastic along the zipper tears. The bags that came with my unit that had gray/black zippers as shown in the product photo appear to be stronger than the new bag with clear zippers. When using bags for sous vide, I found that liquid in the sous vide bag would accumulate under the zipper, entering through what were probably small holes in the seam. I have included a photo of a bag zipper after I sous vide cooked some skin on chicken in the bag. Liquid and chicken fat accumulated under the zipper. I also had the seal fail completely (photo included), which contaminated/ruined what I was cooking and the sous vide bath. I am rather disappointed with the quality of engineering of these bags and this system by Zwilling. The vaccuum stick since, although getting liquid in won't destroy it, you cannot clean the inside. If you are only sealing vegtables perhaps you never get liquid, but I think it is short sighted to think liquid will not get in. It even gets by the liquid barrier attachments. The design in convenient to use, I will probably continue to use bags for storage of some items, but will no longer use this with sous vide and I will limit what I use it for. The containers appear to work well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Vacuum Sealing Convenience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Technology these days never fails to impress and this handheld vacuum sealer is no exception. It's lightweight, sturdy, and does the job quick locking in all the freshness in whatever foods you need.
It works for Raw food, Cooked food, frozen fruits, soup and more. The Zwilling Vacuum Seal bags are washable, they keep a tight seal and every bag has a unique QR code that allows you to scan each bag and set expiration dates for each individual bag. It's fantastic and I highly recommend this to anybody that meal preps, Sous Vide, or if you just want to lock in the freshness for your foods as long as possible, buy this product!

COVID changed my grocery shopping behavior a lot and made me cook so much more - this series keeps my groceries and food fresh for so long! I use the bags for freezing and in the refrigerator and put them into the dishwasher after use and they surpass the traditional Ziploc bags by far! The set could come with more than one clip though.

The new Fresh and Save system from Zwilling is fast becoming my favorite tool in my kitchen. These extra bags are a great new addition to the original kit. All of the reusable bags are dishwasher, sous vide, freezer and microwave safe. Package contains bags to fit all of your storage needs. I even fit a 7x11 Staub casserole dish in the largest bag filled with chicken pot pie for the freezer.

I've had the Fresh and Save Vacuum kit since January and absolutely love it! Everything stays fresh so much longer that I'm no longer throwing out vegetables or cheese. I simply needed more bags. You'll be amazed at how well it seals and will constantly be finding new ways to use it. I would highly recommend ordering this extra set of bags with the starter set.

Not enough instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of this product. I made curry today and was very excited to save leftovers. However after reading the minimal instructions, I was disappointed to find out that all soups and soft foods need to be frozen first. I wanted to preamble meals for the week. I don’t have enough room in my freezer to freeze everything first. Bummer.

The very best food vacuum and the best quality glass containers in the most serviceable sizes ever. So easy to use and so beautiful to look at and so easy to clean. It also keeps my food tasting as fresh as the day I made it, even after a week or even longer. I couldn't ask for more from a product.
