My new daughter in law loves any kind of Asian food. For her birthday I put together an Asian food gift box. I put her favorite rice in it so naturally I had to give her this Staub rice spoon for as they say icing on the cake. She loved it and says it works well - especially when doing big pots of rice. The handle is strong and can get though it all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm so happy with all of my Staub utensils. The first thing you'll notice is the quality of the wood handle. They are smooth and finished nicely to repel moisture. I have some other utensils with wood handles that feel rough and cheap and these are just delightful to hold. The silicone portion of this rice spoon is easy on my nonstick but just as efficient on my regular pots and pans. The large surface allows you to lift plenty of rice at a time and it doesn't slide off due to the small rivets on the surface. This cleans up nicely too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good complement to Staub cocotte I just purchased to make rice. In our family you can’t have dinner without rice. It’s ergonomic so the perfect rounded handle fits nicely in my hand. It’s silicone and does not scratch the cocotte that’s a big plus. The Staub brand is set in on the handle. I look forward to purchasing more Staub tools. These Staub tools will be nice gifts too to gift along with their trivets which I’ve had my eye on also. Happy Staub shopping!

Yet another great Staub utensil for rice or cooked grains like cous cous. I love the shorter handle and the Acacia wood makes it look a bit more rustic. The wood wears well and the silicone keeps pots and pans at their best! No scratching, scraping or ruining the sides of pans. This one can go to the table for serving, too. End hole, so it can be hung on a hook or grid.

I'll admit, I did wonder if all the enthusiastic reviews for this product were accurate, but now that I've used this spoon for several meals, I can emphatically say that every five-star review is 100 percent on point. My wife and I take our rice seriously – we only buy the highest quality Japanese rice, and we incorporate it into nearly every meal; as such, a utensil like this is a godsend, as it not only mixes and serves rice with minimal effort, but more importantly, retains the rices' fluffy texture. Not even rubber spatulas are that precise, and I'm positively giddy every time I use this utensil. So if you're as passionate about rice as I am, get this!

This rice spoon is the most useful for us, this is a must have in every Asian kitchen! The silicone dots prevents the rice from sticking on the spoon for easy scooping and quick release food. This is a beautiful acacia handle, should never be in the dishwasher, only handwashing is recommended for this kitchen tool.

I love all of my Staub kitchen tools and this one is no exception. I love the silicone for all pans but especially metal pans, can't handle that scraping noise! This is nice and wide and and holds the rice perfectly.

A great tool to use to scoop out that perfect rice or risotto you made in your Staub petite french oven. The Acacia wood handle is a nice durable wood, great for tools being used in the kitchen daily. The silicone makes for easy cleaning and safe scrapping on your enameled Staub pieces.
