A Nice Addition to My Collection

I started off with the Meiji 8" chef which is my go to kitchen knife so it was a natural next step to order the bread knife. I use this "bread" knife for everything. It does a beautiful job of carving down melons. Works great on eggplants and of course can get through any delicate crust, with out damaging the crumb, perfectly. And I love the handle!

An absolute necessity in any kitchen, any although titled as a ‘bread’ knife, there are far more possibilities behind this serrated knife. Not to mention, a great piece, at a great value to add to your collection. It’s was created to be ambidextrous, and exceeds expectations with quality and design. You’ll fall in love after becoming acquainted with Kramer’s Meiji bread knife, then want to add the whole collection.

Great Japanese bread knife

This is a really unique bread knife. The handle shape really fits perfectly in the palm of my hand, a shape that I’ve never seen in another knife collection outside of the Meiji. With it having 100 layers of FC61 stainless steel, this knife slices so smoothly and beautifully. It looks great and is a solid Japanese knife.

Now that's a bread knife

Bob Kramer knows how to do knives, and this is no exception. The length of the blade and the substantial handle create the perfect weight and balance. Glides though any tough skin or crusty crust.

Perfect for over sized artisan breads. The unique serrated edge will easily pierce through the toughest exterior while protecting the soft interior. No squishing!! Super sharp, durable and beautiful blade. The handle is exquisite and comfortable to hold. Great slicing blade.

This beautiful knife designed by Master Blade Smith Bob Kramer is a work of art. With 100 layers of ladder Damascus surrounding a FC 61 core this knife is built to last. The exaggerated D shape of the handle is designed to feel secure in both the left and the right hand. These are well balanced yet light weight knives that cut with precision and ease. The serration on this bread knife is super sharp! Bites into a tough bread crust without slipping and will go through the soft inside with one stroke.

The unique scalloped cutting edge of this knife perfectly slices hard crusty breads and fruits and vegetables with firm outer rinds . The curved blade cuts through to the cutting board. D- shaped Pakkawood handle has a more pronounced ridge for a better grip and and control.
